The Republic Died from AWFLs
It’s easy to vote for more government when you can afford the consequences.
Higher taxes. More regulations. Another permit, another fee, another bureaucrat deciding what everyone else is allowed to do. Sold as compassion by people whose financial cushion keeps them comfortably removed from the costs.
This shirt takes aim at affluent political paternalism: the conviction that knowing what’s best for working people requires neither living like them nor listening to them. When your preferred policies make someone else’s livelihood harder, good intentions don’t pay their bills.
Rendered in classic green-screen pixels, our covered wagon delivers the final diagnosis: “The Republic died from AWFLs.” The subtext spells it out: Affluent White Female Liberals.
For those who remember when Oregon Trail taught a useful lesson: resources are finite, bad decisions have consequences, and the people in the wagon pay for whoever’s steering.
You voted for the burden. The rest of us get to carry it.
