Spent
Dr. Corvus is the embodiment of exhausted persistence dressed up like medieval professionalism.
He’s a classic plague doctor figure, long beaked mask, wide-brim hat, heavy cloak, but instead of authority or menace, he carries a very specific energy: deeply tired, still standing anyway. The stance is upright, almost dutiful, one hand resting on a staff like he’s supposed to be in control of the situation… even though you can tell he absolutely is not.
The design leans into that old-world woodcut style, simple lines, deliberate detail, nothing flashy. It feels like something pulled out of a 1600s pamphlet, except the message hits like a modern mood.
And then the line: “i am spent, my lord”
That’s the whole character in one sentence. Not dramatic. Not heroic. Just completely drained, politely acknowledging it, and still on the job.
He’s not quitting. He’s not thriving either. He’s just… enduring.
